Dr. Daniel Garcia was born and raised in Toronto. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University and selected as Valedictorian. He continued his Graduate Studies at McMaster University where his research in Motor Control & Learning was funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
Dr. Garcia earned his Medical Degree from the National University of Ireland, University College Cork. He completed his Rural Family Medicine Residency at the University of Saskatchewan and received the Alanna Danilkewich Resident Award for academic achievement.
Currently, Dr. Garcia is the Lead Physician for the Near North Family Health Organization. He serves as Co-Chair of the Primary Care Network and Tri-Chair of the Nipissing Wellness Ontario Health Team. He is part of the Executive Committee for the North Bay Physician Local Education Group. As a Clinical Lecturer at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, he supervises medical students and Family Medicine Resident Physicians as part of his community practice.
